Client: Binder Grösswang Attorneys at Law
The law firm Binder Grösswang, one of the largest law firms in Austria, commissioned destilat to develop a new interior design concept for its premises in Vienna's 1st district.
destilat designed a new entrance for the office with a reception, meeting rooms and common areas that can be used flexibly for various events.
The concept envisages calming the very restless and formally inhomogeneous existing situation of the law firm by means of a "second skin" of dark wooden slats in combination with light large-format fine stone and creating clearly readable spatial structures. These two heavy and hard materials are complemented by the use of textile floor coverings and translucent curtain panels.
The serious, earnest aura is thus refreshed by the somewhat lighter, airy impression of the textile component and lends the appearance the self-confident flair of a modern internationally active company.
