Interior design - Penthouse

Penthouse S

Linz

Year: 2009
Status: realised
Client: Private

An interior design building task within a complex architectural structure: where pigeons used to perch in the rafters, there is now a luxurious penthouse with a view of Linz's old town. The main focus of the two-storey roof maisonette was the creation of generous visual axes. Targeted views and vistas bring spaciousness into the rooms.

A large part of the flat is kept in white. The restrained shell is combined with light earth and grey tones. White concrete screed was applied to the floor, and the walls in the sanitary area were trowelled grey and offer a haptically pleasant surface.

In this way, the wishes of the building owners were fulfilled: Within their own four walls, they now have a place of visual tranquillity where they can switch off from their stressful everyday working lives. The few colour impulses come from the furniture.
