destilat developed a design concept for the conversion of the GWG Linz management area that focuses on visual clarity and a precise architectural structure.
The design focuses on wall paneling made of warm, brown wood. Their uniform dimensions define clear, cubic structures and create a calm, minimalist spatial effect. This consistent formal language is contrasted by light-colored carpeting and smoothed wall surfaces, which lend the room a subtle, material depth.
The lighting concept is an essential part of the design: indirect light sources subtly highlight the architecture and emphasize the spatial clarity. The targeted use of light creates a soft, homogeneous atmosphere that provides orientation and at the same time creates a pleasant working environment.
Brochure compartments and screens with company-specific content are integrated into the wall paneling. These elements combine functionality with design and create a well thought-out information structure in the space. In addition to this, the theme of planting is incorporated as an integral part of the architecture - deliberately placed plants break up the strict, geometric concept and set natural accents.
The focus of the renovation is on the public areas - corridors, waiting areas and the post office - and translates the values of GWG into a modern, restrained and elegant design language.
