A luxurious apartment complex with eleven condominiums is being built on the Römerberg in a prime villa location in Linz, offering gardens, terraces and panoramic views of the city center, castle park and the Freinberg green oasis.
destilat have developed an interior design for the spacious penthouse that focuses on classic structures and high-quality materials. Around 200 m² of living space with a room height of 3 m, surrounded by several open spaces, convey a dignified old building atmosphere with an open floor plan and traditional set pieces. Only in the lounge area does the ambience take on a modern twist with the floor-to-ceiling Sky Frame windows, thus referencing the architectural shell of the new building. With a wrap-around terrace, open kitchen and invitingly large dining table, this is the heart of the ensemble.
The master bedroom with its large en suite bathroom, dressing room and private terrace with whirlpool is set slightly apart and is also characterized by a different colour scheme. Utility and ancillary rooms are integrated into the floor plan as independent room cubes, allowing plenty of storage space to disappear out of sight behind shelves and recessed glass cabinets in the clear lines of the open structures. French herringbone parquet flooring in dark oak, marbled natural stone as a free-standing kitchen unit and in the bathroom, fluted wood panelling and wall coverings in soft natural tones create the fine material aesthetics that lend the simple interior design a sense of permanence.
