In the middle of the sophisticated winter sports resort, destilat frees a two-story apartment from classic alpine chic to make room for the modern tastes of a young family. One of destilat's successful kitchen ideas. The aim was to fill the vacation home with airiness and light materials and to optimize the existing room structures. The formerly solid-looking wooden beams - glazed white - now form the discreet background for the object-like interior design. The centerpiece in the basement is the kitchen idea, which advances into the living area through the opening of the floor plan and manifests itself as an architectural statement in the space with the combination of kitchen block and dining table. The terrazzo block, cast in one piece, with the wooden surround blackened in Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, offers space for family and friends, plenty of storage space for cooking utensils and the possibility to communicate directly from the stove with the guests present.

In addition to the successful approach to kitchen ideas, the staircase to the upper floor is also completely new. The black cemented metal construction floats into the room as a self-contained structure, to be mirrored on the gallery by a linear railing in Fifties style. Like the children's rooms, the master bedroom with its generous plumb bed under the window is equipped with en suite bathrooms. Their simple furnishings in terrazzo and smoked oak are developed from the space and sometimes take on dual functions; storage space is almost invisibly recessed into the wall, as in the entrée, thanks to "missing" handles, to make the most of the available space and give a tidy, calm impression.

The interior design of destilat pays special attention to room acoustics and lighting, with which the multifaceted material aesthetics (coarsely spackled and softly clad walls, blackened and glazed wood, velvety textile and cool metal surfaces) are atmospherically staged.
